This year is my 26th year teaching at Tuscola (41st in my career). I enjoy fly fishing for trout, and in 2021 I accomplished my goal of catching trout in 1,000 different streams in North Carolina. My daughter Madison Caldwell is a 2016 Tuscola graduate who now works for Jackson County Schools. My wife Angie retired from Junaluska Elementary in 2024 to take care of our grandson Judah.
