With 29 years of experience teaching Spanish, I am passionate about helping students discover not only the language, but also the rich cultures and traditions of the Spanish-speaking world. I hold a master’s degree in Spanish Literature from the University of Central Florida and have had the privilege of teaching in both Florida and North Carolina. My love of travel has taken me to Costa Rica, Mexico, Spain, several countries in Africa, Italy, France, Jamaica, and Turks and Caicos, experiences that have enriched my understanding and appreciation of other cultures. Outside the classroom, I enjoy cooking, gardening, traveling, and trying foods from around the world, and I especially love finding new ways to bring my interest in different cultures into my teaching.
