I have spent my life working in different areas of writing and teaching. I have taught literature and rhetoric at WCU and UT-Knoxville; I have been a humor columnist, travel writer, and published author; and I have presented at various universities and conferences to students and professionals in law enforcement, social services, criminal law on issues of victim assistance. I have also worked as an editor for an educational press, where I led workshops for public and private school teachers and administrators. When I’m not teaching or writing, I like to hang out with my husband and children, watch action movies, and listen to podcasts. I know way too many 80s lyrics and am prone to quoting Monty Python sketches.
