Trent has been teaching in public education since 2009, and at Tuscola since 2024. He is a proud product of the public schools system of North Carolina, and graduated from North Mecklenburg, in Charlotte, in 1997. He has attended University of Phoenix, NC State University, Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Colorado University and Central Piedmont Community College, and holds an Undergrad in Mortuary Science, as well as a minor in Criminal Justice. He has been teaching High School science curriculums since 2012.
