I am a Haywood County native who loves to experiment in the kitchen with creative recipe ideas, the great outdoors and spending time with family. When I’m not on the “Hill” teaching math, you can usually find me hiking one of our beautiful mountain tops, running at any random Haywood County locations, or at the grocery stores spending money on fruits and other items for my creative meals. My class themes include Relevant Relations and I use apples and bananas to show students how we use math daily. I started running 3 years ago, so I use my running stats in my lessons to show my students the relevance of math. Needless to say, I’m a big math nerd.
