Dotson, Jessica

Hey, everyone! My name is Jessica Dotson and I teach our Intensive Intervention Special Education Class here at Tuscola. We have a focus on developing academic skills as well as basic job, daily living, and social skills! I fell in love with Special Education when I was a Peer Helper in high school, then I went on to Western Carolina University and graduated with a degree in Inclusive Education and a Master’s degree in Severe and Profound Special Education. When I am not teaching, you can find me running around with my sweet little pup, Briggsley, or somewhere eating icecream! I am so excited to be a part of the Mountie Family- I have always felt right at home in Haywood County and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to be teaching alongside educators who love their students so well and in a community that has always held such a special place in my heart.
